Food for Your Soul

Bleu Spoons takes people on a culinary exploration through extraordinary cuisine. With a passion for food, our chefs have a flair for igniting the senses using simple, fresh ingredients with a twist.

Chef Nina Giddings and Catering Manager Taisa Allen come from humble beginnings. Both raised by single hardworking parents but spent their childhood days around grandmother’s who constantly spent
time in the kitchen making savory Southern Cuisines. Inspired by family traditions and southern culture, they both embarked on a journey to enhance their skills in the culinary industry.
Nina started her journey in the” back of the house” working as a line cook in 2010 and after several years of training and gaining hands-on experience, in 2014 her skills landed her the opportunity to study
under Executive Chefs Jean-Paul Rafannel and Jimmy Reyes at Todd English Tavern of Atlanta GA.
Feeding her inspiration even more she decided to enroll into a culinary program called United Youth of America, where she mentored under Chef Daveeka Patridge in Atlanta GA. She completed the program
as Culinary Chef with ServeSafe certifications. Since then, Nina has continued to make strides in the industry perfecting her leadership, presentation, dietary, and communication skills. She is currently
working as the Sous Chef of a Veranda at a local private Clubhouse in Bluffton, S.C. since 2019.
Taisa gained experience working in the” front of the house” as a server and then bartender for several years in the Atlanta Georgia areas. She then enhanced her skills and knowledge by working for
restaurants under the Marriott Brands, where she transitioned to fine dining and banquet events. While gaining hands-on experience in restaurants she was enrolled at the University of Phoenix for business.
Her love for high end presentation of food and beverage continued to grow as she was promoted to Food and Beverage Director in 2014.
They both relocated to Beaufort County S.C. in 2019, where they decided to fuse the knowledge and skills, they’ve learned over the past 13 years together and start a catering company. They now operate locally as Bleu Spoons Catering LLC., doing small exclusive event catering, personal/private chef service and private meal prep.
